The Original Japanese Production of Phantom of the Opera Opened in 1988 in Tokyo, shortly after the Broadway Production had opened. It stared Masachika Ichimura as the Phantom, Reiko Namora as Christine, and Yuchiro Yamagutchi as Raoul.
